The Fourth International Conference on Digital Presentation and Preservation of Cultural and Scientific Heritage—DiPP2014 was held from 18 to 21 September 2014 in the Regional Museum of History and the P.R. Slaveykov Regional Public Library in Veliko Tarnovo, Bulgaria. DiPP2014 is organized under the patronage of UNESCO and is partly funded by the Ministry of Education and Science of Bulgaria. The forum was attended by 88 people, 48 papers and several national and international projects on digital preservation and presentation of cultural and scientific heritage were presented. The papers were published in a volume of proceedings of the conference as well as online at the official web site of the conference: http://dipp2014.math.bas.bg. The web site also contains information on the objectives and subject areas of the conference, accompanying events, programme, programme committee, participants, etc.
The forum demonstrated innovative technologies and prototypes, incl. digital repositories, digital archives, virtual museums and digital libraries, which result from established practices and achievements in the field. Representatives of public and specialised libraries, museums, galleries, archives, centres, both national and foreign research institutions and universities participated and exchanged experiences, ideas, knowledge and best practices of the field.
